Big Bang AI Festival 2025 – Europe's stage for AI & transformation
The Big Bang AI Festival was once again a central meeting place for visitors interested in artificial intelligence, innovation, and future technologies. On September 10 and 11, companies, decision-makers, start-ups, and AI enthusiasts gathered at the Alte Münze in Berlin to exchange ideas on the latest developments, learn about practical examples, and discuss the future of AI.
Together with our colleagues at Autonomous Reply, we at 4brands Reply have set ourselves the goal of identifying new potential in consumer goods logistics and presenting forward-looking industrial solutions that will revolutionize and advance the industry technologically.
Therefore, we were proud to be represented at the festival with two program items: a presentation on our drone solution in consumer goods logistics and a roundtable discussion on “The Path to AI Projects.” Both formats have impressively demonstrated the strong interest in practical AI applications and the momentum currently felt throughout the AI community. More on that later.
Festival highlights
The location provided an exciting setting for the festival: historic industrial architecture paired with modern event spaces created an atmosphere that focused on content, discussions, and networking. This mix made it possible to concentrate on the numerous sessions and practical examples related to AI while directly experiencing the diversity of topics.
The diversity and number of AI applications presented was particularly noteworthy. The use cases presented ranged from automation in logistics to digital assistants and innovative analysis tools.
The speakers provided one highlight after another: from exciting keynotes and controversial discussions to inspiring practical examples. Especially captivating was Richard David Precht with his keynote speech “AI vs. Humans – Which Intelligence Will Determine the Future?” He shared his thoughts on what humans can do better than AI and left the audience with an optimistic view of the future that inspired reflection and creativity.
For us, other highlights included, in particular:
- • Practical insights into the AI transformation of companies in various industries, e.g., in healthcare
- Live demonstrations of innovative solutions that show how AI creates concrete added value
- Intensive exchange with experts, decision-makers, and start-ups, providing new impulses and ideas

Our contributions to artificial intelligence
Smart consumer goods logistics using autonomous drones
After the diverse sessions and inspiring discussions, it was exciting for us to take the stage ourselves. In our presentation, “Smart consumer goods logistics through autonomous drones,” we had the opportunity to join Autonomous Reply in presenting our drone application for inventory management in indoor and outdoor warehouses.
Traditional inventory management methods quickly reach their limits, especially in the consumer goods industry, where complex supply chains, large storage areas, and high turnover rates are part of everyday life.
This challenge can be overcome much more efficiently by using autonomous drones. Thanks to integrated AI, the drones navigate independently through the warehouse, record inventory levels in a matter of seconds, and post all data directly to an inventory document in SAP S/4HANA. This allows inventory discrepancies to be identified and corrected almost immediately—without any manual counting processes.
The recorded data is available in real time and can be used immediately. At the same time, the solution ensures that warehouse processes run more efficiently and securely: employees are relieved of some of their workload, risks are reduced, and compliance with safety regulations is reliably monitored.
At the trade fair, we were able to demonstrate how our drone solution works live. We were particularly pleased with the direct feedback from the audience, which highlighted the high practical relevance and potential for industry.

Our roundtable: “The path to an AI project”
Our roundtable contribution was just as exciting. Under the motto “The path to AI projects,” we talked with SAP experts and other AI pioneers about how companies can successfully shape their AI transformation.
The focus was on three key topics:
- Getting started with your own AI project – How do I start an AI project in a meaningful and structured way?
- Activating and using standard SAP AI functions – How can existing tools be used efficiently to achieve initial results quickly?
- Developing and introducing customer-specific AI application scenarios – How can customized solutions be implemented with SAP technology?
Our experience from numerous customer projects and use cases clearly shows that AI has long been a reality for our customers. It is transforming service and sales, making logistics and warehousing more efficient, improving customer experiences, and opening up space for completely new business models

But how can you get started with specific projects? This is exactly where our three key ideas come in:
AI Discovery Workshops: the first step in working with companies to systematically identify suitable use cases. This not only generates individual ideas, but also identifies recurring challenges.
Prebuilt AI Apps: based on this, the aim here is to get started quickly. Our preconfigured AI applications enable a practical start, ideal for pilot projects without a long lead time. They include ready-to-use solutions for a wide range of business processes, from quotation creation to contract analysis and document management to job or product descriptions. This allows departments along the entire value chain to be supported.
Voice Assistant: When ideas and preconfigured solutions come together, concrete applications emerge. A clear example is our AI Voice Assistant for field service, which we were able to demonstrate live. This assistant enables employees to prepare customer visits using voice control, retrieve information directly from the SAP Sales Cloud, and make their work more efficient and flexible. For example, travel time to customers can be used effectively.
Conclusion
The Big Bang AI Festival 2025 was a complete success for us. In addition to our own contributions, we were particularly impressed by the diversity of the applications presented, the inspiring keynotes, and the enriching discussions and new contacts we made on site.
We are taking away many exciting ideas and are convinced that AI is no longer a topic for the future, but is already changing entire industries today. The path to successful AI projects lies in exchange, the courage to implement, and practical solutions.
A big thank you to everyone who attended our sessions. We are already looking forward to continuing the discussions and working together to advance the future of AI.
